First Covenant Church

When I first heard this title, I thought it might be a new campaign from Joe Camel or something.  But the more I began to think about it, the more I became excited.What would it look like if we took the inner light that we have as a church, the family-feel that we have here, and extended it beyond the four walls of the church?  What if church became more what was out there than what was in here?  It got me very excited.

So over the next several months, we are going to be taking a look at what it means to be a church that focuses its energies on the outside, on those not yet "churched."  It means that we will have a stronger focus on serving, on reaching out to the community, on partnering with the community, and so on.  I think it will be something that will not only be benefitial to all of our spiritual walks, but will make an impact on the community and bring people into the life-changing relationship with Jesus.

So, start the fires and be prepared to be challenged at First Covenant.
